How do I log in to ContactsDirect?

It's easy. Just click on the login link in the corner of the screen and enter your username and password.

How can I recover my ContactsDirect username or password?

Once you click on Login, choose the Forgot Password link, enter your email address and we will send you a link to reset your password.

Why didn’t I get a forgot password email?

If your having trouble locating the email we sent, you can try checking in your junk, spam, or bulk mail folders to see if it ended up there. To ensure that future emails make it to your inbox folder, please add to your 'Safe Senders' list.


Can you get non-prescription colored contacts at ContactsDirect?

No. Due to Federal and State laws and regulations, a valid contact lens prescription is required in order to purchase any type of contact lenses, even if you do not need them for vision correction.

Does ContactsDirect sell name brand contact lenses?

No, but we do offer contact lenses from all of the major brands like Acuvue®, Soflens®, Air Optix, Optima®, Proclear®, Dailies® and Biomedics® as well as specialized lenses such as toric, colored, multifocal and daily disposable contact lenses.

Placing orders

I made a mistake when ordering my new contacts. How can I fix it?

We understand that mistakes happen. As soon as you notice an error, give us a call at 1-844-553-6737 and we'll be happy to correct the mistake and get the correct contacts to you.

If the incorrect lenses have already been shipped, simply return the unopened box and call our customer service department to get your prescription information corrected.

Does have a contact lens order limit?

We want to help make sure you have enough contact lenses to suit your lifestyle. At this time, our order system prevents orders over $1000 to be placed online. If you want to place an order over $1000, please call 1-844-553-6737.
In addition, the number of boxes you can purchase can’t exceed the validity of your prescription.

How do the Supply Savings work?

Can I buy online and pick up my contact lenses in a store?

Of course, you can. Contacts Direct now offers a ‘Collect in store” service in almost 2000 LensCrafters or Sunglass Hut. Once you have added items to your basket, head to the cart page, select the ‘Collect in store’ tab and enter a LensCrafters or Sunglass Hut location of your choice to pick up your order. You will be notified by e-mail as soon as the item is ready for pick-up. Therefore, you don’t need to show up at the store before being notified. After-sale services guaranteed in store are free cleaning, fit and adjustment. The “Collect in store” service in completely free. Standard shipping lead time may vary*. Please remember that once your order is delivered in store and ready for pick-up, you will have up to 14 days to collect it.

Can you order contact lenses without a prescription?

All contact lenses require a valid prescription as they are are classified as medical devices. Please only order contact lenses that have been prescribed by an eye doctor, even in the case of colored contacts.

How do you read a prescription for contact lenses?

Your contact lens prescription contains specific information about the corrective power required to help you see clearly. You'll need to select your contact lens brand and provide us with your prescription information so that we can send you exactly what you need. Below is an example of a typical lens prescription:

If you have any questions regarding your prescription or need to clarify the information contained within, contact your eye doctor. We cannot provide advice about your prescription, corrective requirements, or which lenses are best for you.

What if I entered my prescription details incorrectly?

If we notice that the prescription details that you entered manually at the time of your order are different from the ones on your written prescription, we will complete the order following the values of the latter.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription for contact lenses?

Glasses and contact lenses will have different prescriptions. This is mainly due to the fact that contact lenses are positioned directly on your eye, while your eyeglasses sit further away.

How does Book an Eye Exam service work?

With Book an eye exam, you can book an eye exam at one of our partner stores thanks to the Essilor Luxottica network of doctors. After you enter your preferred location and time slot when booking your exam, you can choose from several doctors, mainly located in one of our partner LensCrafters or Target Optical stores.

How can I schedule an eye exam*?

You can schedule an eye exam online by clicking on Book an Eye Exam entering your location, then selecting the doctor location and partner you prefer.

Input your contact information, choose your desired date, and click "Book Exam" to confirm your appointment. You'll receive a confirmation email from the optometrist* of your choice.

If you want to reschedule the appointment, click the "reschedule" button on the confirmation email. To cancel or if you have any questions about your eye exam, please contact a customer care representative at 1-855-589-8891 for LensCrafters or 1-877-848-8476 for Target Optical.

*Eye exams available at the independent doctor of optometry at or next to LensCrafters or Target Optical. Doctors in some states are employed by LensCrafters or Target Optical. In California, eye exams are available at LensCrafters locations from independent doctors of optometry act or next to LensCrafters or from licensed optometrists employed by EYEXAM of California, a licensed vision health care service plan. In California, the optometrists are not employed by LensCrafters, which does not provide eye exams. In California, Target Optical does not provide eye exams or employ Doctors of Optometry. Eye exams available from self-employed doctors who lease space inside of Target Optical.

How much does an eye exam cost?

Eye Exam prices may vary depending on the location in both LensCrafters and Target Optical stores.


Does eye insurance cover contact lenses?

Most vision insurance plans provide coverage for contact lenses, but how much is covered depends on your insurance plan and/or provider.

Does ContactsDirect accept vision insurance for contact lenses?

Absolutely. Contacts Direct accepts most major insurance plans as an in-network provider and is an out-of-network provider for many others. We can check your plan to see what savings you are eligible for and process most benefits online. Our In-network insurances include EyeMed, Superior Vision, Aetna Vision Preferred, Anthem Blue View Vision, Humana Vision, and more!

How to order contact lenses online with insurance

Look for the "Use insurance" toggle when you arrive in cart, and add your details to check your eligibility. You can also register with your insurance plan when creating a new account by checking the "Yes, find my insurance plan" box.

Do you take VSP?

While we are not a participating provider on VSP’s network, we can help you submit your out-of-networks claims directly to VSP. We can check your plan to see what savings you are eligible for and process your benefits. We accept a variety of payment methods, such as:

How do I track my order?

Tracking your order is easy. Just follow the instructions below:

  • Click on the order number you would like to track.
  • In "Delivery/Tracking" please click the tracking link provided. Please note that if your order has not been completed and shipped, a tracking link will not be provided.

How long after I order should I expect for my contacts to be shipped?

Once you place your order, we will either call your doctor to verify your prescription or verify the prescription you uploaded. After it has been verified, we will ship your order to you.

How to print an invoice on ContactsDirect?

Printing an invoice is easy. Just follow the instructions below:
  • Once you're logged in, you can click your linked name at the top of any page. It will say "Welcome (Your Name)".
  • Click "View Orders".
  • Click on the order number you would like to receive an invoice/receipt for.
  • Click “Print Receipt”

What is the return and exchange policy?

We're happy to issue refunds and replacements in accordance with the return policy outlined below. Once we receive your return order, we will issue a refund within 10 business days. To keep you in the loop, we'll even send you an e-mail confirmation when the process is complete!

Returning products

If a product is found unsatisfactory within 6 months of receipt, unopened boxes of lenses or solutions can be returned for a full refund, excluding shipping and handling charges. Please note, to receive a full credit on returned product, the boxes must be unopened, undamaged, and not defaced in any way including writing on boxes.

Please follow the steps below to complete the return process.

  1. Visit our Return Request page and provide your item(s) and order details. Within 48 hours, we will email a prepaid shipping label or an update on your request.
  2. Once you get the email, print out the prepaid shipping label, attach the shipping label and send it off.
    Please note
    : to receive a full credit on returned product, the boxes must be unopened, undamaged and not defaced in any way including writing on boxes.
  3. Once we've received your returned product, as long as it's in original condition and undamaged, we'll refund your purchase. It will show up as a credit on your card. You'll receive an email from us that confirms your refund.
  4. Keep in mind that it may take about 7-10 days to receive the refund. If you feel it's been too long, please give our customer service agents a call and we’ll help you with any doubt you may have.
  5. Please note pick-up in store orders cannot be returned in any LensCrafters or Sunglass Hut location. Please follow the standard online returns.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders:

If you have received a damaged, defective, or incorrect order, please contact our Customer Service immediately at 1-844-553-6737. If you believe that a lens or lenses are defective, please do not dispose of them; they may have to be returned to the manufacturer for analysis. We will replace any boxes deemed defective by the manufacturer upon return, however we cannot give refunds for defective lenses in opened boxes.
